HUNGRY

Starving. Until now that was only a casual word in Azy's vocabulary.

Back when she lived in Illinois, she and her friends had hit the mall food court when they were sure they were starving. When she'd first come to live with the Mami Wata and had to learn how to catch her own dinner, she'd been hungry as all get out for the first few days. The moment her brain caught up with her body knowing that they were out of danger, at least for now, and in a safe place, her appetite for all things Cage had exploded.

“The donuts can wait. I can't.” She had no doubt she was not good at flirting. It wasn't like she had a lot of experience at it. Cage standing there slack-jawed was not the response she had been trying to elicit.

He had demonstrated quite a bit that the alpha male part of him ruled his world. Maybe he wasn't used to having a woman come on to him, or initiate sex.

For one fleeting moment she worried that she had it all wrong and Cage didn't want her that way.

Nah. She knew an erection when she felt one in his pants.

Azy tugged Cage to her and cupped his cheek and chin, intending to pull him in for a kiss. That would leave little doubt in his mind what she wanted. It wasn't like she was hinting at getting busy with him in the first place, but sometimes guys were dumb and needed it spelled out for them. She would spell it in body language.

“I thought you were hungry.” His gaze flicked from her lips to her eyes.

She had to give him a lot of credit for trying to keep it in his pants when he thought she wanted him to. “I am, for you.”

“Are you sure? Jada does make really good donuts and I'm sure you didn't exactly get three square meals a day down in hell.”

She wanted to kiss him just for trying to be a good guy. She was going to kiss him because if she didn't, he was never going to shut up. Azy licked her lips and loved how his eyes were fixated on her mouth.

“A minute ago, you couldn't keep your hands or your tongue off me. Where did that dragon go? Because, he's the one I was hoping to drag into the spring over there and have my way with.” She brushed her thumb across his lips, playing with the bottom one. He had such a sensual mouth and she planned to enjoy having it all over her body.

Cage’s face finally went from wide-eyed and good guy to bedroom eyes and the dirty dragon she couldn't wait to get to know.

“Oh, he's right here.
